Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026 · JD Systems Global Limited

Philosophy

Dune Cloud operates as a neutral infrastructure provider. We believe in the fundamental right to privacy and the freedom to conduct lawful activities without surveillance. Our Acceptable Use Policy is intentionally minimal — we intervene only when strictly necessary.

Prohibited Activities

The following are the only activities explicitly prohibited on Dune Cloud infrastructure:

  • CSAM — Distribution, storage, or processing of child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance, immediate termination.
  • Critical infrastructure attacks — Targeted attacks against power grids, water systems, financial systems, or hospital networks.
  • Physical harm facilitation — Services explicitly designed to cause physical harm to identified individuals.

Permitted Activities

All other activities are at the sole discretion and liability of the Client. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Privacy-focused applications and services
  • VPN and proxy services
  • Cryptocurrency operations and exchanges
  • Anonymous communication platforms
  • Security research and penetration testing
  • Adult content (where legal in the Client's jurisdiction)
  • Gambling and gaming services (where legal in the Client's jurisdiction)

Abuse Reports

Abuse reports are forwarded to the Client without action for 48 hours. If unaddressed, the offending port is null-routed pending Client resolution. Provider does not proactively monitor, inspect, or filter traffic.

Enforcement

Given our zero-knowledge architecture, enforcement is limited to network-level actions (null-routing, service suspension) and contract termination. We are technically unable to inspect or remove content from Client instances.
